About Chef WAWA
I grew up helping my family run a Thai street food restaurant. I was always in the kitchen cutting vegetables and helping my mother prepare fresh ingredients. One of the greatest gifts that my mother passed on to me was her recipes. When I came to the United States in 2013, I found that all of the Thai restaurants did not capture the flavors of my home — the authentic flavors of Thailand. It is quite difficult to find traditional Northern Thai food in the United States and this is the food that I grew up making and eating.
My passion since then has been to cook and share this food with family, friends, and customers so that they may experience the exotic flavors of my heritage. I hope you enjoy your dinner: a meal whose roots have traveled from the kitchen of my mother to the table of your family.
